Sweet Crunchy Yogurt
When I was younger I never liked eating yogurt, healthy but an unbearable sour taste. However over the past year I decided to eat healthier so instead of eating dumplings and chow mei fun for breakfast (Thanks Mom & Dad for cooking breakfast for me!) I decided to give yogurt another go. I tried a few yogurts over the past few months, it took several tries to find a yogurt that I would love.
Initially I tried Pomegranate Chobani because my sister was eating at the time and I would stick to it for a few months but slowly my taste buds rejected the taste. This happened with a few yogurt brands: Nossa, StonyField and Siggi. Although I wouldn't mind eating the yogurts from time to time I couldn't stick to it. A few months later I stumble upon Wallaby Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt and I fell in love instantly. It's creamy, sweet, melts in your mouth like butter and tingles my taste buds. Combine with the right toppings, you will be sure to fall in love. This has become my breakfast a few times a week.
Here's the recipe, it's packed with healthy goodness. Be warned it's really simple :p.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of Wallaby Organic Whole Milk Vanilla Yogurt (Flavor is up to you, I just like Vanilla)
- Handful of Blueberries (Because you need your vitamins & antioxidants)
- 2-3 Strawberries (More nutritional benefits and it complements the blueberry color)
- Chia Seeds (Superfood. Packed with protein, fiber and the aztec warriors ate this)
- Honey Sliced Almonds (It is good for the heart aka love)
Directions
- Diced up the strawberries into square pieces.
- Add 1 cup of yogurt into a bowl.
- Sprinkle the top of the yogurt with chai seeds.
- Place blueberries on one side of the bowl.
- Place strawberries on the other side of the bowl.
- Place the sliced almonds down the middle and around.
Bon Appetit
Does it look like the one in the picture above? If not, stir the bowl and eat up because looks don't matter, it's the taste that counts.
